NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Tecla "Tina" Dowd, 81, of Rockaway Park, N.Y., formerly of North Adams, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at St. John's Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, N.Y.
Born in Cheshire on July 1, 1930, daughter of Angelo and Carmela Soldati Moresi, she graduated from Drury High School.
Mrs. Dowd operated Tina's Trading Teepee in Brooklyn, N.Y., for many years. She enjoyed collecting antiques.
She was a communicant of St. Camillus' Church in Rockaway.
Her husband, Edwin Dowd, died on Oct. 11, 1991.
She leaves three stepchildren, Peggy, Patty and Edwin Dowd; a brother-in-law, George Dragotta, and nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and many friends.
Her sister, Gloria Dragotta, is deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A graveside service for Mrs. Dowd will be held Friday, Feb. 17, at 1:30 in Southview Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, is in charge of arrangements.
