NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Robin Powell, 53, of 39 Angeli St. died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Vero Beach, Fla., on Nov. 5, 1958, daughter of Bryant Tillis of Vero Beach and the late Jane Martz Giordanno.
Ms. Powell was employed most recently as a cab criver in North Adams, a job which she loved. She enjoyed flamingos and adored her cat, Sammy.
In addition to her father and his wife, Pamela, she leaves her son, Shawn Powell of Adams; a daughter, Rose Levesque of North Adams, with whom she made her home, along with her three beloved grandsons, Teven, Tanner and Gage, and three brothers.
She was predeceased by her stepfather, Tony Giordanno.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A celebration of life for Ms. Powell will be held Friday, Jan. 20, from 2 to 4 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main Street, North Adams.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
