NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Dorothy Dickinson, 83, of 767 Reservoir Road died on Monday, April 18, 2011, at Bay State Medical Center in Springfield.
Born in North Adams on Dec. 22, 1927, a daughter of Clarence and Elizabeth Miller Hubbard, she graduated from Drury High School.
Mrs. Dickinson was employed at former Sprague Electric Co., J.H. Hunter Machine, the former Shapiro Motors and, most recently, as a secretary at First Baptist Church, of which she was also a member.
Her husband, Francis Dickinson, whom she married July 2, 1949, died on Nov. 18, 2005.
She leaves her daughter, Nancy Catrambone and her husband, Joseph, of Clarksburg; a sister, Ruth Wright of the state of Florida; a brother, Harold Hubbard of the state of Florida; two grandchildren, David Catrambone and his wife, Ellyn Prevey, and Debra Catrambone, a great-grandson, Grayson Catrambone, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister Helen Cardillo.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A graveside service for Mrs. Dickinson will be held on Wednesday, April 27, at 11 a.m. at Southview Cemetery.
Memorial donations are suggested for the Diabetes Foundation and the American Heart Association through Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
