NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Kathleen M. James, 87, of 227 Franklin St., formerly of 25 Sunset Drive, Williamstown, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, at North Adams Commons.
Born in North Adams on Nov. 22, 1923, a daughter of Harold and Lillian Rondeau LeSure, she attended the former St. Joseph's High School.
Mrs. James was employed by the former Roberts Co. store on Main Street until retiring in 1983. She had previously worked for the former Sprague Electric Co.
She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church of Williamstown and the Friendship Club at the Harper Center in Williamstown.
Her husband, Frank W. James Jr., whom she married March 14, 1943, died June 12, 2007.
She leaves her grandson, Jamison Jacobs and his wife, Abigail, of Belmont, and three great-grandchildren, Kennady Leslie Jacobs, Liberty Ann Jacobs and Lincoln Allen Jacobs.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Leslie James Jacobs in 2000, and three brothers and three sisters, Francis, Albert and Ralph LeSure, Elinore Granzani, Margaret McDonald and Lillian LeClair.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Mrs. James will be celebrated Monday, Jan. 31, at 11 from St. John's Episcopal Church in Williamstown. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown.
Calling hours will be Sunday, Jan. 30, from 2 to 5 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Memorial donations are suggested for St. John's Church in Williamstown.
