NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Robert Charles Genesi, 74, of 2413 Morocco Ave., North Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of North Adams, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011, at Centennial Hills Hospital in Las Vegas.
Born in North Adams, Mass. on Sept. 16, 1936, son of Paul and Ella Genesi, he attended North Adams schools, including Drury High School.
An Air Force veteran, he served during the Korean War.
Mr. Genesi was chief executive officer of several major corporations throughout his career.
He married Pauline Vachereau in 1961; the couple divorced many years later.
He leaves two sons, Mark Genesi, with whom he made his home, and Matthew Genesi of Las Vegas; a daughter, Laurie Genesi Bloom of Las Vegas; two brothers, John Genesi and his family of California and Paul Genesi of North Adams; four grandchildren, Alexa, Kelsey, Andrew and Hailey, and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sisters Marlene Genesi and Dorothy Breda.
FUNERAL NOTICE — There will be no funeral services or calling hours for Mr. Genesi. Private burial will be in Southview Cemetery at the request of the family.
Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, is in charge of arrangements.
