NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Elizabeth Mae Higley, 58, of 427 State St. died Monday, April 26, 2010, at Kindred Hospital Parkview in Springfield.
Born in Rome, N.Y., on Oct. 29, 1951, daughter of George Higley and Maisie Carlin Higley-Costello, she attended schools in Rome and Utica, N.Y.
Ms. Higley was employed for 30 years as a certified nursing assistant at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown.
She enjoyed gardening, plants and cats and was a nature lover.
She is survived by her longtime friend and companion, Michael LeClair of North Adams; a sister, Ann Rembold and her husband, Gary, of Cranberry, Pa.; two brothers, Arthur Higley and his wife, Wendy, of Rome and Charles Costello of Schuylerville, N.Y., and nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and many friends.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral Services for Ms. Higley will take place Saturday, May 1, at 1 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels.
Calling hours will be Saturday from 11 to 1. Memorial donations can be made to the Berkshire Humane Society through the funeral home, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.
