NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Ruth Daisy Lamon, 91, of 1701 Massachusetts Ave. died Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in North Adams on June 21, 1918, daughter of John H. and Alice West Lamon, she graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1935 and from the University of Massachusetts in 1940.
Miss Lamon assisted her parents in the operation of the Lamon Greenhouses on Mass Avenue for many years until her retirement in 1976. She also worked at the former Williamstown Public Library.
She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in North Adams.
Survivors include several cousins.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Miss Lamon will be Friday, April 23, 2010, at 11:30 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
