NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — William Orrin Wright, 61, of 432 Eagle St., died Saturday, April 3, 2010, at his home.
Born in Bennington, Vt., on Sept. 3, 1948, son of Joseph I. Wright Sr. and Marie Hall Wright, he attended Bennington schools.
A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served in the Army.
Mr. Wright was first employed at the former Ben-Mont Papers for 10 years and later worked at the former Bennington Brush Co., both in Bennington. He was last employed at Willowood Nursing Home and North Adams Regional Hospital.
He was a member of the Dr. George L. Curran Post 996 VFW in North Adams. He enjoyed fishing.
He leaves his wife, Martha, whom he married on June 30, 1991; four stepsons, Tracy Copeland of Springfield, Clifford Copeland of North Adams, Wayne Copeland of Adams, and Robert Copeland Jr., of North Carolina; a stepdaughter, Angela Copeland, of Williamstown, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A brother, Joseph I. Wright Jr., died March 16, 2001.
FUNERAL NOTICE: — The funeral for Mr. Wright will be Wednesday, April 7, at 11 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
