NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Violet Clarice Brown, 79, of 150 Ashland St. died Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in North Adams on Dec. 1, 1930, daughter of Archie and Hazel Odell Brown, she attended North Adams schools.
Ms. Brown was last employed at the former Hunter Outdoor Products.
She was a member of the Stamford (Vt.) Community Church and the Cartier Club. She enjoyed bowling and was an accomplished artist.
She leaves a daughter, Donna L. Vallieres of North Adams; a brother, Robert Brown of Connecticut, seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A son, Henry Brown, and six other siblings are deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial service for Ms. Brown will be held Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 11 from Stamford Community Church. Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, is in charge of arrangements.
