NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Cynthia Davies, 64, of 655 East Main St. Ext. died Friday, Aug. 27, 2004, at home.
Born in North Adams on Nov. 28, 1939, daughter of Alyce Langworthy Rand, she graduated from Drury High School in 1959.
Mrs. Davies was employed by the state Department of Employment and Training for 26 years, retiring in 2001.
She enjoyed home decorating, cooking, gardening and entertaining.
She and her husband, Richard F. "Red" Davies, were married Feb. 1, 1969.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Walter E. Dupell of North Adams and Matthew R. Davies and his partner, Jennifer Conroy, of Medina, Ohio; two brothers, Hewitt Rand of North Adams and James H. Rand Jr. of Greenfield; a brother-in-law, Alan Davignon and his wife, Denise, of Seattle; three sisters-in-law, Georgia Rand, Sally Rand and Madeline Shields; a grandson, Cooper Davies, and stepgranddaughters Rebecca Wesloski, Jennifer Racine and Kimberly Racine.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Davies will be conducted Wednesday at 11 at First Congregational Church of North Adams by the Rev. Jill Graham, pastor. Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams.
Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, will be Tuesday from 4 to 7. The omission of flowers is requested. Memorial donations are suggested for ALS Association or to VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire through the funeral home.
