BENNINGTON, Vt. — Betty-Jo Pettyjohn, 55, of 9 Sunset Farm died Saturday, April 4, 2009, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Mass.
Born in Lewis, Del., on May 6, 1953, daughter of Warren Pettyjohn and the late Letty Gay Hunter Pettyjohn, she attended schools in Georgetown, Del., and graduated from high school there. She had moved to North Adams, Mass., in 1986.
Ms. Pettyjohn was last employed as a certified nursing assistant at the former Willowood in North Adams, now North Adams Commons. Before that, she worked at the former CB Sports.
She was a devoted mother and homemaker, and enjoyed music.
Besides her father, of Georgetown, she leaves three daughters, Betty-Jo "Joanna" Rivers, Mary-Ellen Wegner and Debbie Wegner, all of North Adams; a son, Edward Bunn of North Adams, 12 grandchildren, including Charles Thompson and Katie-Lee Bunn, and many friends.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Calling hours for Ms. Pettyjohn will be Tuesday, April 7, from 4 to 7 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, Mass. Services and burial will take place in Georgetown, Del. Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Renal Dialysis at BMC in care of the funeral home.
