NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Stephen McCarthy, 27, of Phoenix, formerly of Adams, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, in Phoenix. He was the brother of Mark McCarthy of North Adams.
Born in Phoenix on Oct. 11, 1981, son of Michael J. McCarthy and Judith McCarthy Brewer, he attended schools in Adams and returned to Phoenix in 1996. At the time of his death, he was enrolled in the Arizona Automotive Institute.
Besides his brother, he leaves his maternal grandmother, Joan Billek of Phoenix, and aunts, uncles and cousins.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial service for Stephen McCarthy will be held in the springtime and burial will be in Southview Cemetery in North Adams. Flynn & Dagnoli-Montangna Home for Funerals, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, is in charge of local arrangements.
