NORTH ADAMS - Zipporah Jean McClendon, 16, of 775 West Shaft Road, died Monday at North Adams Regional Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Boston on Nov. 29, 1991, daughter of Samuel and Lynda Martin McClendon, she was a student at the Austine School for the Deaf in Brattleboro, Vt., until recently. She also attended Drury High School in North Adams for several months.
She enjoyed fishing, camping and skiing.
Besides her parents, of North Adams, she leaves four sisters, Rona Mitchell of Pittsfield, and Jennifer Lehman, Lauren McClendon and Alleah McClendon, all of North Adams; four brothers, Nicholas McClendon and Kyle McClendon, both of North Adams, Christopher McClendon of Randolph and Bryan McClendon of Housatonic.
FUNERAL NOTICE - Services for Zipporah Jean McClendon, who died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. The Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Catholic Parishes of Adams, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
