Pearl Ann Dennison Pettit

Pearl Ann Dennison Pettit, 65, of 175 Franklin St., formerly of 335 Wahconah St., Pittsfield, died Monday at North Adams Commons.
Born in Penn Yan, N.Y., on March 18, 1942, daughter of the late Emory and Mabel Knapton Dennison, she was educated in New York schools.
Mrs. Pettit was employed as a waitress for 10 years at Highland Restaurant and several other Pittsfield diners, retiring in the 1970s. She had also worked as an assembler for several years at Rockway Plastics.
Mrs. Pettit enjoyed bingo.
She and John R. Pettit Sr. were married Jan. 20, 1962. He died on Dec. 9, 1997.
Mrs. Pettit leaves her daughter, Ann Welz-Andrews of North Adams; two brothers, Edward Dennison of Sheffield and William Dennison of Addison, N.Y.; three sisters, Margaret Robbins, Bonnie Harrington and Linda Bogart, all of South Carolina; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Pearl Ann Dennison Pettit, who died Monday, April 9, 2007, will be tomorrow at 7 p.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., with William Frazier, pastoral leader from St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, officiating.
Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m., before the service. Following cremation, burial will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Pittsfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may go to the American Lung Association, in care of the funeral home.
Mrs. Pettit also leaves five grandchildren, Tina Welz, Shannon Welz, Robert Welz Jr., Jesse Dimitropolis and John R. Pettit III. She was predeceased by a son, John R. Pettit Jr., on Sept. 28, 2001, and a sister, Janet Stiles.
