Anthony Peter Alizio

November 19, 2006

Anthony Peter Alizio, 75, formerly of 47 Taft St., died Sunday at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield.

Born in Boston on Aug. 30, 1931, son of Salvatore and Miranda Quilici Alizio, he graduated from Boston English High School and attended Boston University.

Mr. Alizio was employed for a short time in his younger years in the research development department at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge.

He moved to North Adams in 1960 after his marriage to the former Dorothy Denault. She died Dec. 5, 1971.

He was a former communicant of Our Lady of the Incarnation and Holy Family churches, and a fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.

He leaves three daughters, Marianne Alizio of Cheshire, Antoinette Alizio of Adams and Janine Tatro of North Adams; a brother, Peter Alizio of West Roxbury; and two grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Anthony Peter Alizio, who died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006, will be conducted tomorrow at 11 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPEL, 521 West Main St., North Adams.

Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 9:30 to 11. Memorial donations are suggested for the Anthony P. Alizio Memorial Fund through the funeral home.

He also leaves three sons-in-law, Mark Belanger, Aaron Bieniek and William Tatro; two grandchildren, Genevieve and Leah Tatro; his brother Peter's family; and many friends.
