Genevieve E. Beauchemin, 95, of 1275 Massachusetts Ave. died Monday at Williamstown Commons.
Born in North Adams on Aug. 19, 1911, daughter of the late Mark E. and Eliza M. Caron Lord, she attended schools in North Adams, including the Archer School and Drury High School.
Primarily a homemaker, she also was employed as an office clerk at Marian Fathers in Stockbridge until retiring in 1975.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church, North Adams.
Her husband, Romeo Beauchemin, whom she married on June 2, 1934, at the former Holy Family Church, died April 12, 1984.
She leaves a son, Charles Beauchemin Sr. of North Adams, and five grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial mass to celebrate the life of Genevieve E. Beauchemin, who died Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, will take place Saturday, Nov. 4, at 10 a.m. at St. Raphael's Church, Williamstown. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
There are no calling hours. Memorial donations can be made to the North Adams Ambulance Service or to the charity of the donor's choice through FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247. She leaves a daughter-in-law, Karen Beauchemin, and five grandchildren, Crystal, Corinne, Christopher, Candice and Charles Jr.
