Rita L. Zoito, 79, of 33 Forrest St. died yesterday at North Adams Commons.
Born in Williamstown on Nov. 29, 1926, daughter of Albert R. and Bertha Burgess Raymond, she attended schools in Williamstown.
Mrs. Zoito was primarily a homemaker.
At one time, she was employed by the former Wall-Streeter Shoe Co. She also worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. for several years.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church. She enjoyed needlepoint.
She was the widow of Anthony John Zoito Sr., who died May 7, 2006. They were married Aug. 2, 1948.
She leaves three sons, Anthony J. Zoito Jr. of Pittsfield, Paul A. Zoito of Vancouver, Wash., and Albert J. Zoito of North Adams; and a sister, Rachel Beverly Albrecht of Hemet, Calif.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Rita Lorraine Zoito, who died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006, will be private. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Adams Ambulance Service in care of FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, CENTRAL CHAPELS, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247, which is in charge of arrangements.
She was a devoted wife and mother. She also leaves three daughters-in-law, Teresa, Paula, and Janine; and nieces and nephews.
