David W. Foote, 68, of 7 Nelson St. died Sunday at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in North Adams on March 16, 1937, son of the late Edward and Mildred Hamilton Foote, he was a 1957 graduate of Drury High School.
He was a former member of the Massachusetts National Guard in North Adams.
Mr. Foote was employed for 27 years by Berkshire Gas Co. in the customer service and meter reading department, and before that, at Sprague Electric Co. for 12 years. He was last employed part time for Quadland's Flowers & Gifts as a deliveryman.
He was a communicant of St. Francis' Church and enjoyed cooking, bike riding and traveling.
He and his wife, the former Carol Ann Moran, were married Jan. 16, 1960, in St. Francis' Church. She died Sept. 2, 2002.
He leaves a daughter, Heather Green of North Adams; a sister, Margaret Righi of Windsor, Vt.; a brother, Peter D. Foote of North Adams, and a grandson.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for David W. Foote will be Thursday at 10:15 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPEL, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Francis' Church, North Adams.
Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow from 5 to 8 at the funeral home. Flowers may be sent or memorial donations are suggested for the American Heart Association through the funeral home, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247. He also leaves a son-in-law, Gordon Green, and a grandson, Eric David Green, with whom he loved spending time. He was predeceased by two brothers, Wesley and Edward Foote.
