Maryann D. Vallieres Robert

Maryann D. Vallieres Robert, 67, of 35 Angeli St. died yesterday at North Adams Regional Hospital.

Born in North Adams on Feb. 16, 1938, daughter of Harold Palmer and Mary Ann Benoit Palmer-Caprari, she attended the former St. Joseph's Grammar School.

Mrs. Robert was employed by the Laundry Club on Union Street, retiring in 1995. Before that, she worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. and at the former Cornish Wire Co. in Williamstown.

She was a communicant of St. Francis' Church and enjoyed playing bingo.

She loved animals and was a supporter of Berkshire Humane Society.

Her first husband, Arthur James Vallieres Sr., died July 1, 1971.

She and her husband, Glenn A. Robert, would have celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary Jan. 15. They were married in Clarksburg.

Besides her husband, she leaves four daughters, Mary Robert, Dianna Ritcher, Brenda Vallieres and Robbin Vallieres, all of North Adams; a son, Arthur James "Butch" Vallieres Jr. of Adams; a sister, Patricia Romeo of Adams; her stepfather, William Caprari Sr. of North Adams; a stepbrother, William Caprari Jr. of North Adams; 10 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Another daughter, Annmarie Vallieres Bump, died in March 2001.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Graveside services for Maryann D. Palmer Vallieres Robert, who died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005, will be Friday at 1 at the family plot in Southview Cemetery.

Calling hours will be tomorrow, Nov. 29, from 4 to 7 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPELS. Memorial donations are suggested for the Berkshire Humane Society through the funeral home, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.

She also leaves her father-in-law, Bernie Robert; a daughter-in-law, Kelly S. Vallieres, and two sons-in-law, Garry Robert and Calvin Ritcher. She was also predeceased by a brother, Richard Palmer.
