Merrilee Ann "Nicki" Randall

Merrilee Ann "Nicki" Randall, 58, of 560 Reservoir Road died Friday at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown.

Born in Athol on April 28, 1947, daughter of John W. and Helena DeSantis Stangvilla, she was a 1965 graduate of Athol High School, where she was a cheerleader and excelled in gymnastics.

She also graduated from Brom's Hairstylist School in Worcester.

A barber, she owned Casual Cuts and More in North Adams, which she purchased in 1999. She also had worked at the Men's Den barbershops in Adams and North Adams, and at barbershops in the Virgin Islands and in Pittsfield.

She was also a longtime part-time waitress at area restaurants, including La Veranda.

She was a communicant of Notre Dame and St. Francis' churches.

She and her husband, Kenneth E. Randall, were married Nov. 18, 1994.

Besides her husband and parents, of Athol, she leaves two sons, Brett Iorio of Pittsfield and Anthony Iorio of Arizona; three stepsons, Kenneth E. Randall Jr. and Steven Randall, both of North Adams, and David Randall of Suffield, Conn.; four stepdaughters, Nancy Harrington of North Adams, Brenda Grant of Savoy, Julie Wetherell of Hancock and Christy Randall of Orlando, Fla.; a brother, Alan Stangvilla of Rocky Point, N.C.; five grandchildren, and 14 step-grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Merrilee Ann "Nicki" Randall will be Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 10:15 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Francis of Assisi Church.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, June 7, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire through the funeral home. Survivors include five grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was predeceased by a brother, Jay Stangvilla, in 1993, and a sister, Jonnetta Rhodes, in 2001.
