Victor Thomas Aubin, 83, of 611 State Road died yesterday morning at home.
Born in North Adams on Feb. 2, 1922, son of Thomas and Louise Gilbert Aubin, he attended the former St. Joseph's High School.
An Army veteran of World War II, he served in the Pacific theater.
Mr. Aubin was employed by Morrison Berkshire as a machine operator. He retired several years ago.
He was a communicant of St. Francis' Church and attended Our Lady of Mercy Church.
He enjoyed fishing.
His wife, the former Theresa G. Monnot, whom he married Nov. 24, 1951, died Feb. 26, 1999.
He leaves two daughters, Donna Choquette of Pittsfield and Debra Wooley of Adams; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Victor Aubin will be Monday, May 16, at 9 from AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 46 North Church St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, State Road.
Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 to 6 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire through the funeral home. He leaves his sons-in-law, Paul Choquette and Roger Wooley.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Aurietta Aubin and Agnes Rushia.
