Katherine Isabel Bliss, 95, of 150 Ashland St., died Thursday afternoon at Williamstown Commons.
Born in Stamford, Vt., on Nov. 21, 1909, daughter of Leon and Bessie Lesure Bliss, she attended Stamford schools.
She had lived in North Adams for many years.
She worked as a housekeeper for several area families for many years, retiring 30 years ago.
Miss Bliss was a member of First United Methodist Church, North Adams.
She was a charter member of the Northern Berkshire Mineral Club and was an avid rock and stamp collector.
She leaves a brother, Albert Bliss of Westmont, Ill.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Miss Katherine I. Bliss died Thursday, April 14, 2005. A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, April 18, at 11 in the family lot in Millard Cemetery, Stamford, Vt. The Rev. Susan L. Stewart, pastor of First United Methodist Church, North Adams, will officiate.
Burial will follow. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of North Adams through the AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS Funeral Home, 46 North Church St. North Adams, MA 01247, which is in charge of arrangements.
She leaves several nieces and nephews, including Carol Reese of Clarksburg, Mass.; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Clarence Bliss, and a sister, Harriet Briggs.
