Ethel Grace Cote

Ethel Grace Cote, 79, 140 Ashland St. died yesterday at Williamstown Commons in Williamstown.
Born in Sanford, Maine, on Nov. 28, 1924, daughter of Carl T. and Freda Pullen Slater, her family moved to North Adams and she was educated there, including Drury High School.
Primarily a homemaker, she had been employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. for 10 years in her younger years.
Mrs. Cote was a communicant of Notre Dame Church.
She enjoyed reading, singing with groups, baking, knitting and sewing.
In her later years, she enjoyed painting with watercolors.
She leaves three daughters, Gail Cote of Hartford, Conn., Robin Martin and Carole Perras, both of North Adams; two sons, Robert E. Cote and George E. Cote, both of North Adams; a brother, Thomas Slater of North Adams; a sister, Helen Miller of North Adams; 11 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren. Another son, Norman A. Cote, died April 27, 1966.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Ethel Slater Cote will take place with a Celebration of Her Life at a later date at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours, and the omission of flowers is requested.

Survivors include sons-in-law Raymond H. Martin and Raymond P. Perras Jr., daughters-in-law Paula Cote and Linda Cote of North Adams; 11 grandchildren, Tammy Martin and Raymond Martin, Rickey Montgomery, Angela Cote, Jason Cote, Bonnie Belanger, Jessica Cote, Joshua Cote, Nicholas Vallieres, Elise Perras and Sally Perras; three step-grandchildren, Amy Perras, Timothy Gagne and Danielle Kaczowski; 12 great-grandchildren, Satira Martin, Katelyn Martin, Haley Martin, Brianna Martin, Joshua Martin, Chelsea Shetterly, John Bump, Tyler Bump, Jordan Belanger, Izayah Perras, Jocelyn Cote and Daviaun Cote, and three step-great-grandchildren, Kyla Kaczowski, Thai William Kaczowski and Mackayla Thomas. A son, Norman A. Cote, died April 27, 1966.
