Marion Fleury

Marion Fleury, 88, of 611 State Road died Sunday at North Adams Regional Hospital, where she was admitted two weeks ago.
Born in St. Jean, Quebec, on July 26, 1915, daughter of Eugene and Yvonne Vallieres LaCasse, she moved to Williamstown in 1918 and attended schools there.
She had resided in North Adams for five years.
Mrs. Fleury was employed by the former Adams Nursing Home in Williamstown. Before that, she worked as a private-duty housekeeper and cook for many years. She also worked at the former Hoosac Cotton Mill.
She was a communicant of St. Raphael's Church in Williamstown and enjoyed photography.
Her husband, William P. Fleury, whom she married Nov. 25, 1937, died Aug. 4, 1997.
She leaves two sons, John D. Fleury of Williamstown and William G. Fleury of Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, and five grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Marion LaCasse Fleury, who died July 4, 2004, will be Thursday, July 8, at 9 from AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 at St. Raphael's Church by the Rev. Mark Burke, SJ, pastor of St. Patrick's and St. Raphael's churches.
Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to St. Raphael's Church or Elder Services of Berkshire County Inc., through the funeral home, 46 North Church St., North Adams, MA 01247.
She was the last of her immediate family. She leaves five grandchildren, Eric Fleury of Rockland, Maine, Collin Fleury of South Deerfield, Justin and Kevin Fleury of Oman, and Sarah Fleury of North Adams.
