Verna Frances Luczynski, 68, of 6 Seneca Drive, Wheel Estates, died yesterday at home.
Born in North Adams on Nov. 16, 1932, daughter of Richard F. and Ethel Rowley Hurlbut, she attended local schools and graduated from Drury High School in 1951.
A homemaker most of her life, she was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. in her younger years.
Mrs. Luczynski was a communicant of St. Francis' Church.
She leaves five daughters, Bernice Lord Cardaropoli of Indian Orchard, Tina Marie Lord of Pittsfield, Frances Evans Dodge of Adams, Sheryl Lynn Dodge Morehouse of Cooperstown, N.Y., and Denice Lynn Little, at home; three sons, Bernard Anthony Lord Jr. of Indian Orchard, John Robert Lord of Pittsfield and Richard Francis Lord of Winchendon; two sisters, Claire Hurlbut Fortini of North Adams and Carol Hurlbut Stevens of St. Petersburg, Fla.; her twin brother, Verne Francis Hurlbut of Williamstown, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 11, at 11 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday, April 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. Flowers may be sent or donations in her memory are suggested for the Salvation Army through the funeral home. She was predeceased by two sisters and a brother, Barbara Hurlbut Haight, Eleanor Hurlbut Fletcher and Richard Hurlbut, and two grandchildren, Corey Mathews and Shane Mathews.
