Lois Jean Tessier

Lois Jean Tessier, 79, of 907 Mohawk Trail died yesterday morning at North Adams Regional Hospital, where she was admitted Saturday following a brief illness.
Born in North Adams on July 24, 1924, daughter of Clarence and Ora Roberts Robare, she attended the former St. Joseph's High School.
Mrs. Tessier was employed as a sewer by Berkshire Sportswear, retiring in 1990. She also had worked at the former Gale and Wall-Streeter shoe companies, where she hand-sewed shoes, and at the former Hunter Outdoor Products, where she sewed sleeping bags.
She was a communicant of St. Francis' Church.
Her husband, Albert Joseph Tessier, whom she married Dec. 9, 1944, died Jan. 24, 1991.
She leaves a daughter, Sharon L. Levesque of North Adams; a sister, Marjorie Claire Robare of North Adams; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Another daughter, Noreen J. Morehouse, died Oct. 28, 1999.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Lois Tessier will be Wednesday, March 3, at 12:15 from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, followed by a Funeral Mass at 1 at Our Lady of Mercy Shrine on Massachusetts Avenue.
Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Donations are suggested to St. Jude's Research Hospital, VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire or to a charity of the donor's choice, all in care of the funeral home.
Survivors include a son-in-law, John Levesque; three grandchildren, Rebecca J. Morehouse, Albert J. Levesque and Karyn M. Levesque; and three great-grandchildren, Johnathan Levesque, Bradley Odell and Shirley Gazaille. A daughter, Noreen J. Morehouse, died Oct. 28, 1999.
Five brothers are deceased, Alfred, Donald, Neil, Earl and Norman Robare.
