Edna Mary Cote, 94, formerly of 85 Eagle St., died Saturday at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown, where she had resided since Dec. 18, 2000.
Born in North Adams on Dec. 10, 1908, daughter of Joseph and Exilda Bergeron St. Cyr, she attended local schools.
Mrs. Cote was employed for two years by the former Wall Streeter Shoe Co., and, earlier, by the former Sprague Electric Co.
She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church.
Her husband, Clarence Cote, whom she married Nov. 4, 1934, died Oct. 3, 1980.
She leaves two daughters, Margerite Y. Peters and Judith A. Steward, both of North Adams; a sister, Ella Nary of Williamstown; 13 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Edna Mary Cote at 11 on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at St. Francis' Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
A private visiting hour for family will be held Tuesday from 10 until the time of the service at AUGÉ-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her memory be made to either the Sweet Brook Care Centers Activities Fund or to a charity of the donor's choice, through the funeral home, 46 North Church St., North Adams, MA 01247.
