Sheralyn M. Gregory, 60, of 1270 South Church St. died Sunday at North Adams Regional Hospital, where she was admitted earlier in the day.
Born in Greenfield on May 23, 1943, daughter of Homer H. Shays and the late Elizabeth Sweeney Shays, she was a graduate of Drury High School.
Mrs. Gregory had been employed as a secretary to the principal of Drury High School for 35 years, retiring in 2002.
Earlier, she had worked at the former North Adams State College, now Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading.
Besides her father, of Clarksburg, she leaves a daughter, Tammy Gregory of North Adams, and a brother, Albert F. Shays of Elgin, Okla.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Sheralyn Gregory will be conducted Friday at 10 at AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. Susan Stewart, pastor of First United Methodist Church.
Burial in Clarksburg Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to either the American Cancer Society or First United Methodist Church through the funeral home, 46 North Church St., 01247. She also leaves a nephew, Kevin Shays, stationed in California with the Navy.
