Michele A. Bessette, 34, of 55 Harris St. died of cancer yesterday at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in North Adams on Aug. 16, 1969, daughter of Robert E. Bessette Sr. and Olive "Pat" Harrington Bessette, she attended Drury High School.
Ms. Bessette was a homemaker.
She formerly managed the Mobil station on State Street and was a cook at Friendly's restaurant.
She loved the ocean, nature, flowers, children and music.
Besides her mother, of Clarks-burg, and her father, of North Adams, she leaves her longtime companion, Robert A. Kelly; a daughter, Tenisha Jean Kelly of North Adams; three sisters, Jeanne Bessette of Indian Rocks, Fla., and Tonya Bessette and Nicki Asdikian, both of Adams; two brothers, Robert E. Bessette Jr. of North Adams and Lee Bessette of Adams; her maternal grandmother, Harriet O'Neil of North Adams, and her stepmother, Betty Bessette of North Adams.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Michele A. Bessette will be Monday at 1 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 Main St. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 4 to 7. Memorial donations are suggested for the Tenisha Jean Kelly Education Fund through the funeral home.
Survivors include Ms. Bessette's aunt, Dorothean "Dot" Tower of North Adams, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts. She was predeceased by a sister, Karen Marie Bessette, on Oct. 2, 1968.
