Mary Louise Daniels, 88, of 408 Spring St. died yesterday at North Adams Commons after two months of illness.
Born in North Adams on Nov. 16, 1914, daughter of John and Catherine Faustini Morandi, she was educated in local schools.
Mrs. Daniels was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. in the production department, retiring in 1979 with more than 46 years of service. She had also worked at the former Hoosac Cotton Mills for a short time.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church and a member of the Sprague Quarter Century Club and the Sprague Retirees.
Her husband, Joseph Frank Daniels, whom she married Sept. 7, 1935, died Aug. 6, 1984.
She leaves a brother, Albert Morandi of Rome, N.Y., and her niece and caregiver, Alice Mirante of North Adams.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Mary Louise Daniels will be tomorrow, Sept. 27, at 8:15 from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Anthony of Padua Church celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. O'Hear, pastor.
Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow for one hour before the funeral. The omission of flowers is requested. Memorial donations are suggested for Berkshire Meadows through the funeral home, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247, which is in charge of arrangements.
She was predeceased by five sisters and six brothers, Frances Barry, Lena Copeta, Julia Desrosiers, Josephine Celentano, Rita Scaperotti, and Peter, John, Joseph, Frank, Benjamin and James Morandi.
