Harold George Hewitt, 74, of 45 Porter St. died yesterday at home.
He was born in North Adams on March 16, 1929, son of George and Margaret Hurlbut Hewitt.
He leaves his wife, the former Mary Wilson Haley; a stepdaughter, Ann Jones of North Adams; a stepson, Robert Haley of North Adams; four stepgrandchildren and a stepgreat-grandaughter.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Harold George Hewitt will take place Wednesday at 11 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., with the Rev. David Withrow officiating.
Burial will take place at a later date. Memorial donations are suggested for the Southwestern Vermont Cancer Center through the funeral home.
Survivors include: four step-grandchildren, David Jones, Julie Shade, Jenna and Christy Haley, and a stepgreat-granddaughter, Samantha Shade.
