Carl William Dolle Jr., 40, of 11 Owens Ave. died yesterday from injuries sustained in a fire at his home.
Born in North Adams on May 28, 1963, son of Carl W. Dolle Sr. and Shirley Alcombright Dolle of Stamford, Vt., he attended elementary schools in Clarksburg and was a 1981 graduate of Drury High School.
He had been a resident of North Adams for 20 years.
Mr. Dolle had been employed as a carpenter for three years with Tatro Contracting Co.
Before that, he was employedby Pierce Construction Co. of Clarksburg and by other area contractors.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and all sports.
Besides his parents, he leaves three sons, Carl W. Dolle III of Bennington, Vt., and Joshua R. Dolle and Justin A. Dolle, both of Ayer; a daughter, Erika L. Dolle of Adams; three sisters, Donna L. Brooks of Clarksburg, and Jo-Anne M. Dolle and Linda J. Dolle, both of Bennington, and his maternal grandmother, Sarah E. Alcombright of Whitinsville.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Carl William Dolle Jr., who died June 14, 2003, will be conducted Wednesday, June 18, at 10 at First United Methodist Church by the Rev. Susan L. Stewart, pastor.
Burial will follow in Clarksburg Cemetery. Calling hours at AUGÉ-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME will be Tuesday, June 17, from 5 to 8.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the National Rifle Association through the funeral home, 46 North Church St., North Adams, MA 01247. Survivors include several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
