Barbara Agnes Toniatti, 60, of 28 Rich St. died Saturday evening at Williamstown Commons, following a long illness.
Born in Adams on July 23, 1942, daughter of Roscoe W. and Alma A. Fortier Cain, she was a 1960 graduate of the former Adams Memorial High School.
Mrs. Toniatti was last employed with Community Action in North Adams, retiring in 1984.
She had previously worked at Aladco Laundry in Adams and at the former Sprague Electric Co.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church and a former communicant of Notre Dame Church in Adams.
Her husband, William Walter Toniatti, whom she married Jan. 25, 1964, in Notre Dame Church, died July 4, 1994.
She leaves a son, Richard A. Toniatti of Newark, Del., and a granddaughter.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Committal services and burial for Barbara Cain Toniatti will take place at a later date in Southview Cemetery in North Adams. There will be no calling hours.
FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, 74 Marshall St., is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Richard A. and Lori Toniatti, and a granddaughter, Tiffany Toniatti, of Newark, Del.; a mother-in-law, Ruth A. Bernardi of North Adams; two sisters-in-law, Joan Cain of Florida, Mass., and Donna Bernardi Briggs of North Adams; three brothers-in-law, Richard Bernardi of Clarksburg, Dennis Bernardi and Ronald Bernardi, both of North Adams; two nieces, Tara Cain and Renee Pruitt, and a grandniece, Heather. A brother, Richard W. Cain, died Feb. 18, 2003.
