Margaret Nadeau

Margaret Nadeau, 79, of 3 Lamoureaux Place died Sunday at North Adams Regional Hospital, where she was admitted two days earlier.

Born in the Farnums section of Cheshire on Sept. 2, 1923, daughter of Paul and Lulu Curtis Lyons, she attended schools in Cheshire and Adams, including the former Plunkett High School, now Plunkett Elementary School. A homemaker, Mrs. Nadeau was a communicant of St. Francis’ Church.

Her husband, Joseph Alfred Roland Nadeau, whom she married July 8, 1944, in Columbia, S.C., died Dec. 20, 1983.

She leaves a daughter, Renee Moroni of North Adams; a son, Timothy J. Nadeau of Somerville, S.C.; a sister, Elizabeth Serrano of North Adams; two brothers, Joseph Lyons of North Adams and Edward Lyons of Cheshire; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Margaret Lyons Nadeau will take place Wednesday at 8 p.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will take place at a later date in Cheshire Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 3 to 8 at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested through the funeral home.

Survivors include five grandchildren, Scott Tatro, Shawn Tatro, Frances Nadeau, Timothy Nadeau Jr. and Donna Shaw; seven great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Claudio Moroni; brother-in-law, Peter Serrano, and two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Lyons and Carol Lyons. She was predeceased by a grandson, Marc Tatro, and two sisters and two brothers, Anna Mae Brown, Mary Ellen Lyons, Raymond Lyons and Kenneth Lyons.
