Lena Dopp, 79, formerly of Ashland Park Apartments, 150 Ashland St., died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
She had resided at Craneville Nursing Home in Dalton for approximately five years.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on July 30, 1923, daughter of Anthony and Margaret King Marciana, she attended schools there.
She moved to Northfield, Vt., in the early 1970s and to North Adams in the late 1970s.
Mrs. Dopp was primarily a homemaker for her family all of her life.
She and her husband, Burton F. Dopp, were married June 2, 1945, in Brooklyn.
Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Lucille L. Dopp of Adams and Margaret Pettus of Spotsylvania, Va.; four sisters, Margie Marciana and Lucy Myers, both of the state of Florida, and Mary Chivis and Ella Perrone, both of New York City, and two grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Lena Dopp will be private and there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for a charity of the donor’s choice through FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
Other survivors include son-in-law Rick Pettus and two grandchildren, Brittany Pettus and Rickey Pettus, all of Spotsylvania, Va., and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Predeceased by brothers Anthony Marciana and James Marciana. Burial at a later date in Northfield Falls (Vt.) Cemetery.
