Gertrude Margaret Brazeau

Gertrude Margaret Brazeau, 100, formerly of 37 Phelps Ave., died Tuesday at the Inn at Fox Run Senior Assisted Living in Fairborn, Ohio.
Born in the Greylock section of North Adams on Sept. 25, 1902, daughter of Edgar D. and Margaret Plankey Bresette, she attended the former Blackinton School. She resided on Phelps Avenue for 77 years before moving to the Spring Street Apartments. She moved to Fairborn to live with her nephew, Edward Perrault, in December 1999.
Mrs. Brazeau was employed for many years with the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associ-ates and in the former Gale Shoe factory.
She was a communicant of Holy Family Church, now Our Lady of Mery, and, in her later years, of Notre Dame Church. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Society at Holy Family and the Adult Society at Notre Dame.
Her husband, Arthur Henry Brazeau, whom she married Aug. 17, 1931, in Holy Family Church, died Jan. 17, 1975.
She leaves numerous nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Gertrude Margaret Brazeau will be Saturday at 10:15 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, State Road, North Adams.
Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 5 to 8. In lieu of flowers, offerings for Masses may be made in her memory through the funeral home. Predeceased by two sisters and a brother, Alma Galvin, Olive Perrault and Merrill Bresette. She leaves several nieces and nephews and untold grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
