Frances Mae Pszeniczny, 84, of 9 Marietta St. died Sunday evening at Mercy Care of Springfield, where she was admitted Jan. 8.
Born in North Adams on June 1, 1918, daughter of Albert C. and Philomene E. Coty Rabidoux, she attended local schools.
Mrs. Pszeniczny was last employed in the housekeeping department at North Adams Regional Hospital for 12 years, retiring in 1965. She had also worked at the former Hoosac Cotton Mill for many years and the former Wall-Streeter Shoe Co.
She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Her husband, Matthew J. "Nobby" Pszeniczny, whom she married Nov. 4, 1938, died Dec. 12, 1970.
She leaves a son, Matthew J. Pszeniczny Jr. of Ludlow, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Frances M. Pszeniczny will be held Friday, Feb. 14, at 11 at AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, with the Rev. Joseph H. DeCosta, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Camp Ashmere through the funeral home, 46 North Church St., North Adams, MA 01247. She also leaves her daughter-in-law, Joan Hartwig Pszeniczny.
