Doris A. Blair, 79, of 70 Lincoln St. died Saturday at the Northampton Nursing Home in Northampton, following a short illness.
Born in North Adams on Sept. 30, 1923, daughter of Patrick J. and Harriet Frazier Conway, she was educated in local schools.
She was employed by the former Wall-Streeter Shoe Co. until the company ceased operations.
She leaves two sons, Raymond J. Blair of North Adams and Robert E. Blair of Adams; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Graveside committal services and burial for Doris A. Conway Blair will take place Friday, Nov. 22, at 2 at the Frazier Family Plot at Southview Cemetery, North Adams.
There are no calling hours. Omission of flowers is requested. Any memorial donations are suggested for the Salvation Army through the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, 74 Marshall Ave., North Adams, MA 01247.
Survivors include four grandchildren, Michael E. Blair, Neal P. Blair, Jennifer Blair and Heather Blair, and two great-grandchildren, Stefani Blair and Hallie Blair. She was predeceased by a sister, Rose M. Crum and a brother, Clarence Conway.
