Richard Boucher

Richard Roland Boucher, 54, of 26 East Ave. died yesterday morning at home after a short battle with cancer.
Born in North Adams on July 28, 1948, son of Eugene J. and Jeannette D. Lefave Boucher of North Adams, he attended Drury High School.
Mr. Boucher was employed by the city of North Adams Water Department for 31 years and had obtained the position of superintendent. He retired in 1997 and became the owner and operator of the Pat and Henry Package Store in Clarksburg. He was most recently employed by Krutiak Wood Products in Clarksburg.
An accomplished bowler, he threw a 300 on Sept. 2, 1986. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Besides his parents, he leaves three daughters, Michelle Kupiec, Tamara Boucher and Nannette Maturski, all of North Adams; a son, Paul James "P.J." Renaud of Clarksburg; seven grandchildren, and his companion, Jonna Blair, with whom he made his home.
The funeral will be Thursday morning at 9 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 5 to 8. Memorial donations are suggested for the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire through the funeral home.
