Hazel Ann Hurley Bellows, 75, formerly of 121 River St., died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, where she was admitted June 27. She had been a resident of Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield since March 2001.
Born in Pownal, Vt., on Feb. 3, 1927, daughter of Frank and Myrtle Myers Pratt, she attended schools there.
Mrs. Bellows was a former member of Pownal Community Church.
Her first husband, William Hurley, died in 1978.
Her husband, Brainard Bellows, died in 1999.
She leaves a daughter, Patricia Hurley of New York state; two sons, Robert Hurley of Bennington, Vt., and William Hurley of North Adams, with whom she made her home; a brother, Daniel Pratt of Pownal, and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by three sisters and a brother, Alma Richer, Marie Clark, and Frances and Edward Pratt.
Services will be Wednesday, July 24, at 11 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Pownal. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow, Tuesday, July 23, from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children through the funeral home, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
