Stanley Curtis "Two-and-a-Half" Conrad Jr., 60, of 296 West Shaft Road died yesterday at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in Sharon on July 4, 1942, son of Stanley Curtis Conrad Sr. and Roberta Beach Conrad, he attended schools there. He moved to North Adams in the early 1970s.
Mr. Conrad was a self-employed home improvement contractor and construction supervisor.
He was a member of the Greylock Community Club, the Na-tional Rifle Association and Dr. George L. Curran Post 996 Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a 25-year member of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks Lodge 487.
Besides his mother of North Adams, he leaves a sister, Harriet "Jane" Diaz of North Adams.
A memorial service will be conducted Thursday at 7 at First United Methodist Church of North Adams by the Rev. Susan Stewart, pastor. Burial will take place at a later date in the family plot in Rock Ridge Cemetery, Sharon. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations are suggested for the North Adams Elks Lodge 487 through FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.
