Stanley John Oslizlo, 73, of 102 Francis St. died Monday at home.
Born in Adams on Jan. 31, 1929, son of Anthony and Mary Mihalec Oslizlo, he attended Adams schools.
He served with Company M of the Massachusetts National Guard in Adams for many years.
Mr. Oslizlo was employed as a security officer at Sprague Electric Co. for more than 40 years, retiring in 1990.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
His first wife, the former Anna F. Pessolano, died in 1989.
He leaves his wife, the former Rita N. Cote Accetta, whom he married Oct. 6, 1990; a son, Gerald P. Oslizlo of Pownal, Vt.; two daughters, Susan Golka of North Adams and Marianne Mirke of Adams; five stepdaughters, Leslie Anderson and Susan Shepard, both of North Adams, Jody DiSanti of Lanesboro, Karen Accetta of Arizona and Kristin Accetta of Pittsfield; four grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; one great-grandchild, and one stepgreat-grandchild.
Calling hours are Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 46 North Church St., North Adams. Graveside services will be held at a date to be announced. Memorial donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice of Northern Berkshire, which provided care to Mr. Oslizlo and his family through the funeral home.
