Recollections & Sympathy For the Family

Our condolences to the Cook family. I remember Kimo as a young girl. My dad used to book his band and I remember him coming to see my dad at our house. He was always a quiet guy. Our thoughts are with you all.

This is so sad, I never saw Kemo’s obituary. I played with Kemo in bands through the years. He was an excellent musician and such a great guy. Soft spoken and was one who never asked for much. I’m so sorry for the Cook family, who I’ve known for years. My heart and prayers go out to the family.

Kemo and I were best friends in high school. We were an odd couple… I was skinny as a rail and he was a gentle giant. He had a kind soul and we spent our lazy Berkshire summers swimming in Dobbs pond and walking to the local Clarksburg dairy bar. We were both shy misfits, but our claim to fame was practicing Beatle songs in our band “The Soundwave“ at Bob Sym’s house where Bob’s father Chet would have to continually scold us for smoking cigarettes out back. (Cause of the paint storage he said). Many nights were spent on sleep overs at Kemo’s neighbor John Ross’s house listening to Bill Cosby albums and of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without riding around town in Dave Chouquetts old International pick up truck. They were good days in a different kind of time, and I will always treasure them. May God bless you, Kemo.

I went to school with Bob From the first grade thru high school. Always had many laughs with him. May he rest in peace.

Kimo, You were a gentle giant. I always appreciated your soft spokeness, quiet sense of humor and demeanor of nothing in the world troubling you. Our encounters weren’t often, but they left an indelible imprint.

“Keemo” as we all called him was a very quiet guy very unassuming guy. We were in home room together all 4 years of high school at Drury. To the family of Bob my condolences.
