LaVerne Patryn, 100

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  LaVerne Josephine (Raddatz) Patryn, 100 of North Adams, MA died Thursday February 5, 2026 at Williamstown Commons.



She was born in Oshkosh, Winnebago County, WI on December 29, 1925, a daughter of August Friedric Raddatz and Clara Emma (Jungwirth) Raddatz. She attended schools in Oshkosh.



LaVerne was last employed by Carol Cable Co. in Williamstown. Before that, she worked at Wall-Streeter Shoe Co and Hoosac Cotton Mill. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. LaVerne enjoyed gardening, reading, jigsaw puzzles and sewing.



She was the widow of John Thomas Patryn who died on April 20, 1996. They were married September 27, 1947 in Oshkosh, WI. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy A. (Paul) Howcroft of Adams, MA and her granddaughter, Crystal Marie (Andrew) Horn of North Adams, MA. She also leaves her great grandson, Shinji Corbin Leslie Howcroft and two sisters including Carol (George) Frohrib and Germaine Alaniz of Schereville, IN and one brother, Thomas (Gerri) Raddatz of Oshkosh, WI and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters, Loretta Kulibert, Marlene Monday, Delores Wickman, Gilbert Raddatz, Willard Radatz and Edwin Raddatz.



FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for LaVerne Patryn will be Monday February 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the donor’s choice in care of the funeral home.
