Carol Ann Gerow Jackson, 73

January 19, 2026

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Carol Ann Gerow Jackson, 73, of North Adams, MA, died Monday, January 19, 2026, surrounded by her family for her final journey. Born in Springfield, MA on November 22, 1952, Carol was the daughter of Mildred (Fisher) and Arthur Gerow. She attended schools in East Longmeadow. She raised three children and instilled a warrior spirit in her tribe. She was enamored by her grandchildren and had a special bond with her oldest grandson, Elijah and had great joy in spending time with all of her great grandchildren whom she was especially proud of.

Carol described her life as unconventional. She was a spirit that could not be anchored down. In her earlier years she was a dragonfly flying about only landing somewhere long enough to catch a glimpse before she flew away again. She worked as a laborer in construction, a Jane of all trades and loved decorating her home to create a welcoming environment. She loved motorcycle riding and the incredible bond of riding with her son. Her tales of riding through all continental states were inspirational and hilarious. When she parked her Harley for good, she traded it in for a scooter and was known to be riding all over town making people laugh with her crazy antics. When she learned her health was failing, Carol said she was comforted by knowing she had lived life to the fullest. She had taken the trip and lived with intention.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl Monson of Springfield, Carla Edmonds of Springfield, and Justin Price of North Adams; her dearest love and first love, Charles Price of Springfield, a brother, Arthur Gerow, Jr of New York; a sister, Susan Zuron; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was well loved in the town she finally settled in North Adams.

A celebration of her life will take place Saturday January 31st, from 2 - 6 PM, at the Elks Lodge, 100 Eagle Street, North Adams, MA. To add to the book of memories, please visit FlynnDagnoliFuneralHomes.com.
