Maryann Durant, 80

November 13, 2025

Maryann (Morin) Durant, 80 of 358 State Street North Adams, MA died Thursday November 13, 2025 at home.



She was born in North Adams on November 7th, 1945 a daughter to Anthony John Morin and Harriet (Lesniak) Morin. Maryann attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School.



Maryann was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her true focus in life was centered, around her family and faith. She was an accomplished quilter and painter and for the last ten years has quilted baptismal quilts for all the babies baptized at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams.



She was a member of the St. Vincent Paul Society in North Adams where she served as secretary for several years, a volunteer at the Northern Berkshire Food Project and a devoted and loyal communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church.



Survivors include her husband of nearly 60 years David Francis Durant Sr. whom she married May 14, 1966, two loving children Jennifer Towler and her husband Michael of North Adams and David Francis Durant Jr. and his wife Deborah of Standish, Maine, grandchildren Grace Towler, Charlotte Towler , Rebeccah Durant and two nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Richard Morin.



A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday November18, 2025 at 11:00 AA at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams. There are no callings per her request. Memorial donations are suggested for the St. Elizabeth Church Renovations Fund through the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, CENTRAL CHAPELS, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA. Dear Dave and family. I am so sorry for your loss. Maryanne was like family to all of us at the Berkshire Food project. Every Thursday she would come with Betty and peel lots of vegetables for the days lunch. She even brought her own peeler and knife. She was such a giving women and she will be truly missed.
