Rosemarie (Decoteau) Moore, 80

October 15, 2025

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Rosemarie Moore of North Adams passed away in 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and quiet strength. A lifelong resident of North Adams, Rosemarie was well known throughout the community for her years of dedicated work with BCAC, where her compassion and generosity touched the lives of many. Though she was named Employee of the Year, she never sought attention—her joy came from helping others.

Rosemarie had a deep love for animals, especially cats. Her beloved companion, Ishna, brought her constant comfort and joy. She found peace in simple pleasures—crocheting, knitting, and tending to her garden, a space inspired by the four directions where she enjoyed nature’s quiet beauty.

She was predeceased by her husband, George Moore, and by her parents, Phillip Joseph “Joe” Decoteau and Rita (Devio) Decoteau.

She is survived by her sister, Arlene, her nephew, Robert, his wife Melissa, their son Riley, and Robert’s daughter Evangeline, and her children, Landen, Sylas, Malachi, Genevieve, Elias, Seraphina. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Rosemarie’s life will be remembered for her kindness, humility, and the many small acts of goodness that made her community a better place.
