NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —
Mrs. Karen A. (Kordana) McDonough, 66, of North Adams, died on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at her home.
She was born in Adams on April 14, 1959, a daughter of the late Casimer and Shirley (Girard) Kordana. She attended schools in Adams and graduated from the Charles H. McCann Technical High School. She then went on to earn associate degrees in Information Technology and Nursing from Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield.
Karen last worked as a registered nurse for the former Sweetbrook Nursing Home in Williamstown and earlier had worked for Williamstown Commons, North Adams Regional Hospital, Berkshire Medical Center and Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. She had also worked in the IT department of the former KB Toys in Pittsfield.
She is survived by her husband, Paul E. McDonough, whom she married on September 21, 1996; two sons, Justin Timoney of North Adams and John Timoney and his wife Kerri of Pittsfield; two daughters, Lisa McGirt of Tennessee and Kasey McDonough of North Adams; six grandchildren, Hunter McBean, Legacy McGirt, Haven Timoney, Devon Chadwell, Ashleigh Timoney and Kaitlyn Timoney; her sister Laurie Vachereau and her husband David of North Adams and by many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 21st at 12:00 NOON in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams.
Calling hours are Tuesday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
