Norma Williams, 90

Norma Gloria (Melchiori) Williams, 90 of North Adams died Thursday September 11, 2025 at Berkshire Medical Center.



She was born in North Adams, MA on August 29, 1935 a daughter of the late Antonio Melchiori and Domenica Maria (Albasini) Melchiori. She attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1954.



Norma was employed with F.W. Woolworth Stone and W.T. Grant Store on Main Street. Later she worked at Wall Street Shoe Company on Union St. North Adams and the City of North Adams School Department. She was last employed with Sprague Electric Company and its successor Vishay Incorporated retiring September 1, 1995 with 18 years of service.



Norma was a communicant of St. Anthony & St. Elizabeth Church and former member of its Children of Mary Sodality.



Survivors include 3 sons John Michael Williams (Spring) of North Adams, Daniel Arthur Williams of Ocala, FL, James Anthony Williams (Jamie) of Stamford, VT, a daughter Linda M Dupuis of Pittsfield. She was leaves a sister-in-law Monica, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a granddaughter Rebecca Marie Williams, sister Alda Wood, brother Michael E. Melchiori.

John, Jim, Dan and Linda and all of your loving family. We are sorry to hear of Aunt Norma’s passing. We use to love her laugh! We are sure she will be missed by you all. We are pretty sure Alda, met her at the gates, and they are now reminiscing about their weekly trips to “ Bonanza” in Pittsfield , and are very happy to be together again!

I am very saddened by the passing of Norm. She was great lady. Every time I run into her she would ask how I was and my family. I can remember taking my mother visit her and her mother (family) I love taking to both of them about the family .
