Nicholas Carrigan, 29

June 11, 2025

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —

Nicholas Michael Carrigan, 29 of North Adams, beloved son of Jacqueline A. White-Almeida (Madeo Almeida) and the late Michael R. Carrigan, passed away in a tragic motorcycle accident on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.

“Our world is not as colorful without you here, but we are grateful for the love that we continue to feel for you. It’s the memories of you that are eternal, protecting us always.”

Born in Pittsfield, MA on June 1, 1996, Nick was a 2014 graduate of Mount Greylock Regional High School. He went on to become a certified barber and opened his own barber shop ‘Carrigan’s Cuts’ in North Adams, MA. Outside of his passion for cutting hair, his greatest accomplishment and honor was being a father to his son Killian, a dog dad to Kai, and a ‘bonus dad’ to Jordan. He was everything to his boys.

He was ambitious and would do anything for his child(ren). He loved spending time with his family and friends, NY Sports, creating good music, and making people laugh. Nick was a member of Mount Greylock Baptist Church putting all of his faith into the Lord.

He will be remembered by his unforgettable personality, the way he lit up any room he walked into, his loyalty and genuine heart.

He leaves behind his son Killian, his ‘bonus son’ Jordan, his mother and step father; Jackie and Madeo Almeida of Pittsfield, MA, his eldest sister; Courtney Rowell and her husband Matthew of Weymouth, MA, his older sister; Ashleigh Almeida of Pittsfield, MA, his younger brother; Lucien Almeida of Pittsfield, MA, his younger brother; Connor Carrigan of Pittsfield, MA, his youngest brother; Alex Carrigan, his nieces Athena and Aria, his nephew Benjamin, his maternal grandmother Sally Martin Furlano, his goddaughter Freya, his dog Kai, and his many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is predeceased by his father, Michael R. Carrigan.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 4-7pm at Flynn & Dagnoli Montagna Funeral Home, 521 W Main St, North Adams, MA 01247. The Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 10am at Mount Greylock Baptist Church, 35 Notch Rd, North Adams, MA 01247.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Killain’s Trust Fund as a tribute to Nicholas’ memory and love for his son. These memorial contributions will be used for Killian’s future education and well-being. Please send contributions to Flynn & Dagnoli Montagna Funeral Home, 521 W Main St, North Adams, MA 01247. We only spoke a few times. I wish I would have said thank you for talking and being there for my grandson Jordan. He loved and cared for you deeply. You protected him while here with him, please continue to do that from above.
